I met with David Dudley, Assistant Category Manager. Jim was unable to make the appointment. Save Mart has recently made several Produce Personnel changes. Jim came from Food Lion and David came from Markon. They are now set up as 3 different companies(divisions). (Save Mart/Food Maxx and Lucky) The changed took place in the last several months and David was the last piece of the puzzle. Lucky has two contacts and Rick Johnson still handles Food Maxx. Ed Corvelo who was my past contact is now in charge of purchasing. David asked if I could send him our new Nostalgic poster for his office. David signed up for the ad program and they will be ordered POS or the season. He was very interested in the timing and they will advert is almost every week. He asked about the larger boxes: 24lb vs 20lb. They have a new section in their produce section called "Fresh Pick" and the planning on featuring Northwest Cherries in this section as soon as they can start their ads. This type of promo runs back to back weeks.
