Today I met with Jeff Umbenhour. He immediately mentioned the problems they were experiencing with the California cherries. He seemed to feel that the end of the late season California crop could be non-existent this year. With that conversation, it opened the door for a lot of conversation and attention to our N/W presentation. I discussed the many accounts they service in my territory and the story I have been explaining to them. We really spent time on the late season opportunities. We discussed using their sales plan for participation and qualifying for funds. We also discussed apricots and their growth. Jeff wants the presentation sent by e-mail and will order materials for their sales staff to use with customers.
