I met with Jaime Rodriguez and Paul Hughson. They mentioned that their shippers have been talking about a large crop of cherries this year. We discussed the the timing and possabilities that a large crop of good sized fruit could have to offer. We spent time discussing the growth of cherry production from 1999 with both the red and Rainier cherries and how that volume of fruit is being consumed. It is obvious that more and more customers are demanding the good quality fruit. They were both very intentive of our presentation materials and requested the materials in a elec. form so they can share it with their customers. They also would like some POP materials and presentation pieces to be used by their specalists when calling on their customers.They also were very high on the apricot crop and hope it lasts a few weeks to get the sales they feel are there.
