I met with Mark Carlson. We discussed the new markets that Meijers is entering and the company's growth. They are nearing completion of their new distribution center in Wisconsin and will be closer to the Chicago and Wisconsin markets with that facility. The new store growth in Milwaukee is going well and stores should open this year. We completely covered all areas of our presentation and was insured that, "if the crop is good", they will promote all season. We also talked about social media and how we can help. Mark was taking our web site info to their media staff. We also discussed apricots. They have been growing the catagory (especially with the bagged fruit) and look to merchandise it very heavily this season.
