I had a meeting with Tom Haffey. Tom was hired to replace Dann Mudd this past October. Tom has been in the produce business for some time and is very knowledgeable about the business. We had a very good meeting, discussing his past positions and then this year's crop information. He had a lot of questions about timing of the crop and possible volume. We discussed the dollar value of cherry sales and the late season's contribution. He felt that the company could do much better with cherry sales (especially Rainiers) than his past records revealed. He also felt that they could do much better with their apricot sales. Tom asked for some of our info (electronic profit piece ) and some presentation pieces to be used in a management meeting. He will also review the materials I left with him and he will discuss his needs by phone. He would like a cherry sizer and a copy of our material showing cherry size. He wants all of the crop info we can offer.
