I met with Dan Bates and also met Michael Kamphaus We had an extended meeting discussing last year's cherry crop and what this year's crop may look like. Dan was very enthusiastic to promote cherries late in the season. Their opportunity will be convincing their retail groups to do it. Dan wants the profit book electronically, so they can start working with their team. Dan feels the apricots they promoted last year, and the sales success of those promotions has been a stepping stone to an even better season this year. They hope to get their hands on enough volume of the newer varieties to continue the sales growth.
