I met with Mark Wise. He explained that his Strack and Ultra store business has been very good and was looking forward to a good cherry season. Although they had a good red cherry season last year, he was disappointed with the Rainier sales and is looking to improve them. I presented the 2011 cherry/apricot promotions. He was very pleased with our programs. He is having a Produce and Store manager meeting in late April and wants presentation kits to present and get his guys pumped up. He liked the idea of the additional merchandising piece. He will run a Display and Sales contest with his stores. He showed me the results of a recent contest he orchestrated that showed huge sales increases. He also ordered Tri folds for his stores.
