Had a great meeting with Nicole Hulstein and her team.  They were full of questions which I feel were answered to their satisfaction and more.  Nicole is new to the role of Produce category manager but has lots of experience in the produce industry.  Before I met with her I had heard many positive remarks about her professionalism and the way she carries out business.  She is more than capable to handle this important position with Food Lion.  We met for close to an hour and touched base on many subjects such as timing, options that were available to him, pos that they could get from the Commission and other things.  I have never seen them more receptive and wanting to use the material we have to offer them.  They are taking the attitude like many retailers this year that if they miss a few weeks up front they will tack them on to August sales and promote.   It was one of the best meetings I have ever had with Food Lion and one of the best I have had this year with all of my accounts.
