Had a great meeting with Aaron Franklin.  Harris Teeter is rolling along and growing.  They are now up to 250 + stores with plans for more to open in next few months.  They recently purchased 7-9 stores (Fresh Markets) in Virginia.  Because they are doing so well, the parent company Kroger, pretty much leaves them alone and lets them do their own thing.  They have been very successful and for the most part maintain and sometimes even grows their market share in different ares even with the spreading of more and more Publix stores in the Southeast.   Aaron knows the importance of NW Cherries to his department.  In addition to his regular intent, he wants to run a NW Cherry contest in all the Harris Teeter stores.  The winners would be determined by who sold the largest percentage of NW Cherries compared to total produce department sales.   This is something that would have to be approved by his upper management, but really wants to do.   A wonderful positive meeting.
