I met with Eric Haacker. Eric and I discussed the great merchandising that they do with cherries. As cherries contribute so much to their sales and customer satisfaction, the want to keep it as a lead item as long as possible all summer. We discussed our entire 2019 promotion and hoe we could work together to get more sales. We discussed apricots and the opportunities that they offer for additional sales in the summer.
I had a very good conversation with Eric concerning their direction for advertising. Jewel has reduced the size and pages in their print ads, thus squeezing the size of each item that they advertise. Putting in more then a logo is now difficult, Ala - Health claims, Buy now freeze, and Nat. Rainier cherry day. They are attempting to do a lot of informational and messaging efforts at the point of purchase on their large "Picket signs" These signs are used on larger displays of ad items. Eric requested that I look into doing the $100 on these signs. They could track them just like ads are collected. They also use our materials to do Instigram, (12,000 followers) twitter (10,000) and facebook (218,273). They also Have Jewels site "Just For You, (1,000,000 + followers )
I would like to discuss with you to respond to them. They were really interested in our POP copy to use on their signs etc.
