I visited with Jeremy Harwell on Thursday April 4th.  This is his 3rd year on the job and we had a great visit.  We talked about various subjects and he was already aware of the delay in NW Cherry shipments this year.  However I reminded him that it was still early and things could change.  I had originally written an intent for ads.  I gave him an option of using the money or part of the money for demos or a display contest.  He liked the idea of a display contest and that they had done one with the Avocado Commission last year.  He said that he knew when he was a produce manager it motivated him to know that he could win $200-$250 dollars plus the incentive of competing with his fellow produce managers.  He is going back to talk to his boss about running a NW Cherry contest and is going to get back with me.  He said the number of Galaxie and IGA stores were increasing, and that his job is becoming more challenging each year.
