I met with Mario Grazia and his staff. Mario mentioned that he has run two Wash. St. stone fruit ads and was very happy with the fruit. We discussed all of the different peaches in the market, Calif. Southern, Ohio, Mich. and Washington. There seems to be a massive amount of them this year.  Mario gave me his cherry ads and we discussed his results this season.  He does still have them in his  stores, but will not advertise them. He said that with the crop being such a large size, the advantage they had in the past using extra large cherries wasn't there. He said everyone had sizable fruit. This hurt their ability to have a larger retail as they had to get into the pricing game.
