I met with both Charlie Neilis and Paul Hughson. They indicated that Supervalu started N/W Cherries last week and their stores were given information to display them in the front of the stores and get the most sales that they can. They mentioned that their customers were asking for cherries as some stores opted out of Calif. product. They did mention that trucks were somewhat of an issue getting loaded on time. A lot of their retailers have ads breaking on Sunday and they were worried that some might not make here on time for their weekend deliveries to start the ads.  ( I have heard this from many retailers this spring.)  We discussed the stone fruit program and some of their customers needs.
