I met with Brian Sczesny. As Kroger now has purchased Roundy's, they continue to run independently. This week they are running a TPR on cherries and will start newspaper ads next week. They held off ads this week as the crossover from Calif. cherries was happening. We discussed the cherry update materials and how it will help him as he plans future ads.The Mariono stores in Chic. have stared ads this week. We discussed the stone fruit promotion and he said the later Calif. deal has kept Roundy from using Wash fruit the past few years.Brian has said he will try it again this year. I feel we should send him some samples in Aug.
