Met with Mychael Thomas at W LEE Flowers today.  Great meeting for just about an hour.  We discussed many aspects of the produce departments and especially NW Cherries.  Mr. Thomas is anxious about the NW Cherries getting into our part of the country.  His knowing the value of NW Cherries to his department in the summertime is increasing each year.  He works with a lot of independent owners so not only is quality very important, but also price.  They have about 45 KJ stores now and these are their newest corporate stores usually bigger than normal IGA stores, newest and best.  I visited one in Scranton SC and it was super nice.  Of course they service about 2 times this many under various independent names/labels.  He was going to order some POS material that he felt would help the department managers.  Great Meeting and expect some good ads from him this year.
