Had a great meeting with Aaron Franklin.  We met for about 45 minutes.  Aaron is very excited about the upcoming NW Cherry season.  He currently has California cherries in his store.  I did a price check at a store and bought a small sample.  Price is $6.99 lb.  The cherries were surprisingly good.  Size was a little bigger than large, probably a 9 1/2 row.  Sugar content was high as cherries tasted very good.  Aaron has been in this position for about 1 year and 3 months.  He is enjoying the job and is becoming more relaxed and focused in it.  He knows that the California cherry deal is a short one and wants to get NW cherries in his stores as soon as they are available.  Along with his regular intent/promotion.  He wants to run another contest within his Harris Teeter produce departments to stimulate some interest and create extra movement.  I agreed to fund this in store contest with an additional intent similar to what we did last year.  Good visit
