James and I met with Aaron Franklin who is the new produce category Manager at Harris Teeter.  Aaron has been with Harris Teeter for some time working in various jobs in the department and familiar with past programs and has his own ideas on how to move more Cherries for us.  He was pleased with the intent we offered him, but wants to do a volume contest again this year similar to the contest we did with Harris Teeter last year.  He does not want to lose that bump in sales & volume movement this year like they had last year when they did the contest.  He also wants to do a promotion this year based on Raniers right around National Ranier day.  He really wants to promote NW cherries this year and is happy we are going to have them available through August this year.  James is to send another intent to Harris Teeter once he hears back from them for additional funding to take care of the contest and Ranier Day promotion.
