Had a great meeting with Clark Roper at Piggly Wiggly.  Jay Bennet his boss was not able to meet with us because of other commitments at a Food show.  Clark said he would get Jay to sign the intent and have it forwarded to me.  We had a very productive meeting.  He told me that he had heard that the S.C. Peach crop was all but gone and not placing a lot of hoe on a successful season with them.  I let him know thzt we had peaches in Washington state and that this might be the year he should try them.  He said that he was also struggling with California vegetables like everyone else and that a blight of some sort is playing with his memorial day ads.   He is supposed to be getting his first California cherries this Friday, but is really anxious for ours to start.  He says he plans on promoting our cherries as much as possible because he needs to make up some sales dollars he is missing out on this season.  He was happy that we would have Cherries available in August, and also mentioned that several of the store owners were asking for Raniers this year.
