Had a very nice visit with Mychael Thomas.  They are up to 75 stores now with the KJ format  being the big dog for them.  There are around 18-20 of them.  He said he is getting reports from his SC peach growers that a lot of the early variety of peaches were almost (70%) lost to the cold weather as well as some strawberries.  The later varieties should fare ok.  He was also saying that there are a lot of issues going on with California items as well as he has seen a tremendous jump in the price of head lettuce.  We went over the upcoming crop forecast and the intent for 2017 and seemed a little concerned about the late start and the dollars he would lose as does not usually participate in California.  However he was encouraged when I told him at least he was going to have Cherries to promote in August that he has not had in the last 2 years.
