Had a great meeting with Robert Tubbs today. Harris Teeter continues to grow and in fact has gained market share in Charlotte NC according to the Charlotte Observer newspaper. The continued success according to Robert has encouraged their parent company Kroger to pretty much leave them alone and let them run their own show. Robert is very excited about the upcoming cherry season and looks forward to promoting Northwest cherries. He made the effort to tell me that he was going to try to do a better job of policing the ads to make sure our logos are present this year. He was aware that some money was left on the table and wanted to do a better job this year. This year he wants to just get the funding for ads and will use the money as he sees fit to promote the cherries and did not rule out doing a display contest.
