I met with Jim Bilbrey. As he has always been a great supporter of N/W Fruit, he wanted to do better than last year as he had supply issues last year. We discussed our entire cherry and apricot promotions and laid out a plan to start ads in early June. He said he heard a lot of talk about the Calif. cherry crop getting hurt, but he did have some due in his stores by the weekend.
We visited one of his stores and he showed me the Fla. peaches he just received. They were full color and had nice sizing. Taste .was very good. He also had his first apricots and they looked very nice. Clean appearance with a nice blush. He ordered POP and materials to have store meetings.
