I met with Mike Carter the Category Manager for BiLo Holdings and Dan Ryndak the asst. Category Manager. We discussed the upcomming cherry crop and the opportunities for Winn Dixie and Bilo. Both are excited about the early crop and realize that there is going to be an overlap between California and Northwest cherries. Both seemed to agree that they were going to move into the NW cherries as soon as possible. Did not see any California cherries in the Winn Dixie stores visited this week. We also discussed apricots. They are planning on several ads and we discussed meeting again in June to discuss stone fruit.
