Met with Tom Haffy. Tom works very close with the AWG company and one of their sales persons sat in on our meeting. I was surprised at reactions from the sales person. He was not even aware that our crop would be early. We discussed the need to review all of the upcoming ads and re-look at cherries if they wanted to get the most sales benefit. Tom was very glad that we had the meeting when we did as a lot of his summer merchandising plans were being developed. We discussed apricots and although they never did well with them, they may look at how they can put a better effort behind apricots and Rainiers.
