I met with Nick Miscari the Assistant Procurement Manager and Ed Kopenek their head Buyer. We had a very interactive meeting as they service a "7" state area and have a very large diverse sales base. As I call on many of their customers, I related how all of the N/W Cherry Commission's efforts, data, and materials could enhance their cherry/apricot sales. We discussed crops, timing, sizing, and length. They have asked me to participate in their Trade Show in July and would give me a booth at no charge. I will get back to them on our acceptance. We discussed apricots and they feel the bags are definitely the way to go to increase sales. They ordered our presentation materials to train their retail support team.
