I met with Mark Wise today. They have purchased the Wiseway stores and converted them to Strack & Van Til stores. As their chain grew they are promoting very aggressively. We covered the entire N/W cherry promotion and had some very good conversations about the crop and merchandising. Mark said that cherries are only an 8 week crop, but the sales are in the top 5 of sales in the entire year. This has happened as they have advertised more often and later into the year. He also admitted that he needs the cherry sales again this yearr to reach last year's good sales. Mark ordered P.O.P. and materials for a manager meeting.
