Visited with John Vasapoli and Rick Rodriguez. Briefed them on the timing and size of the upcoming cherry crop. Offered them in addition to the regular circular promotion, the opportunity to do a sales and display contest and also a Facebook ad like they did last year. They do plan to do all that this year. Emphasized the health benefits and reminded them of the bonus opportunities by including the health benefits in their advertising. They were good at doing that last year and they plan to do it again this year.
Dagostino and Gristedes are separate banners, each with individual buyers. John Vasapoli is the buyer for D’agostino and Rick Rodriguez is the buyer for Gristedes. Was unable to visit them in person this year, but did a joint conference call with the two of them
