Met with Keith Frosceno at his office at Big Y. Big Y has been a good supporter qualifying for full support last year. Keith says he hopes to do that again this year.  Briefed him on what we know about the California crop, and also gave him details about the upcoming Northwest crop. Emphasized that first promotable fruit should be available around 6/19 and should be available in promotable volume through the month of July, perhaps into the first week of August. His primary shipper is Stemilt and recommended that he check with them as well, especially about the availability of late fruit. Had offered Big Y a Sales and Display contest last year and they never ran the contest. I asked him if he wanted to try it again this year, and he said he would. He thinks the contest is a good idea, it’s just sometimes difficult  to manage something like that at Big Y. We also talked briefly about taking advantage of their digital platform and he will check with their Digital person to see if we can find a presence somewhere, perhaps with a banner at their online store.
