Met with Tom Murray Director of Produce and Scott Maher. Tom is retiring and Scott will be replacing him. I’ve known Tom for a long time and Scott and I have talked before, but this was my first opportunity to meet Scott. Last year Roach Brothers gave us full support running ads and taking advantage of the bonus, and also running a successful store level sales and display contest. We have offered them the same program this year and they plan to participate at the same level. Also encouraged them to take advantage of the bonus program by emphasizing the health benefits, and using the tagline “by now freeze now”, reminding their customers about the health benefits, and also reminding them about the opportunity to freeze cherries. We also talked about Rainiers and the opportunities there . Posted both Tom and Scott on the expectation for the crop and emphasize to Scott to feel free to contact me at any time if I can be of any help. I asked Scott if there is anyway we could access a position on his website and he was going to check that out and let me know.
