Had meeting with Barry Paul, the produce Director and Zach Di Carlo, the assistant sales manager for cherries. Zach is new to produce and will be handling the day to day business this year.  Since he is new, Barry will be helping him, and I also offered to assist him if he had any questions at all. Last year, Shaws participated fully, but did not take advantage of the bonus program. During the meeting, I emphasized the significance of promoting the health benefits and encourage them to insert both that tagline and the by now freeze now, tagline to help get the message out. Barry told me that he had heard basically the same thing that we had about the California crop, and was optimistic that it would be out-of-the-way before the Northwest starts in.
