Meeting with Albert Gottuso and Michael Cribbs, along with Karley Lange of NWC/WSFC. Discussed the upcoming season sharing the overall spring outlook for the 2023 season. Reviewed last seasons performances and suggested that we increase the "health messaging " by including the Register Dietitian staff in reaching out to the consumers. Publix response was that the RD's do not reach to the consumers they are staffed for corporate information to the categories. We talked about alternatives to and how can we "increase" awareness to our "health messaging". We are currently paying $10k for a "Peak of The Season" event and wanted get more health messaging from there staff.
Our takeaway was the opportunity to create our "Super-Hero" and "Buy Now Freeze Now" messaging of health in a format that is conducive to their store formats and still convey our messaging . Karley will bring back a piece that Chile had done for them promoting Cherries only with our messaging of health and preserving. The "new" piece will be circular in a 6-7" size that will be displayed for the season! It is currently in development by our people and will be available for Publix for the season.
The outcome is that we (NWC/WSFC) will be saving $10,000 dollars since they admittingly said the money was not necessary for them as they would have promoted Peak of The Season with or without our money.
The takeaway from our call is that we will save $10,000 in "Other" promotional dollars. These dollars will utilized with other opportunities within the region.
