I met with Jose and he has heard both California and Northwest are running behind.  Nugget has a new beautiful office in Davis, CA.   We met at one of their flagship stores in West Sacramento.  I spent some time with one of the Produce Supervisors who travels to all of the locations.    Their big focus this summer will be on California grown with all of their local produce, but he was interested in looking at a marketing program for Northwest Cherries.  He will run the ad program but is also going to send me a list of “other” programs from Marketing.  I will review and pick the program and then see if Nugget will be able to run this season. I’m waiting for program costs for the specific promo.  They call their customer guests and are hoping for larger fruit this season as they are an upscale format.  They have beautiful produce department in their 16 total locations.  He will try and add some health bullet points and liked our slide on health benefits and the information on how their guest would purchase cherries if they knew all of this valuable information.  Once Northwest is available they plan on switching over to promote our cherries.
