Met with Charlie Yeh at their store in Farmingdale on Long Island.  I also met Vinny, the produce manager at that store.  Stew Leonard is now up to 7 stores and has an 8th under construction in New Jersey, expected to open the first of next year.  They are continuing to look for expansion opportunities.  They have a unique, very large footprint in their stores where you have to follow a maze like pattern to get through the store.  Their main store in Norwalk CT has an incredible volume of business and it seems like this store does the same type of volume.  They move a large volume of cherries and plan to advertise and create large displays again this year.
