I met with Mike Draper as Paul Lerom was vacationing. Mike and I discussed the Cherry season and his opinions.He did mention that as a wholesaler he felt some of the large chains had better pricing offered to them. He said the contract costs that some of their customers had was unavailable to them. He didn’t have any volume comparisons as of yet , but they did see a notable drop. They didn’t experience quality issues and loved the beautiful sizing. He mentioned that the Festival stores that they service would most likely be interested in our programs. I will follow up on the when I get the contact info. They have some Wash. Stone Fruit , but the Colorado peaches are a real must in their market.
