I met with Eric Haacker. He explained that they did have a very good season of cherry sales. They partnered with their supplier and had bill boards along Chicago freeways, and other promotions. He asked me to go back to the commission and request that we get involved more fully in a lot of Jewels digital and other promotions. I will follow through. He said they moved a ton of loads of cherries bit he didn't have any comparable sales to last year. They did special in store signage that fit into our health claim intent. 

Some of the programs look very doable. I will be back to Eric. 

Internal note

Jewel has requested our involvement into some of their in house programs. 

1: They do a T-Shirt program where they give T- Shirts to people in their stores (6-10) each store. They would have our logo on the front and  HEALTH CLAIMS or(???) on the back. These programs run about $5,000.

2: Jewel /CUBS tie in. They have ads on carts at the park and they get a ton of views.

3: Just For You ....Like a coupon program, but not open ended. Perimators can be set. on their website 

4: Sales contests $5,000 are typical

I discussed James involvement needing to be included. He suggested contacting Tina Brown (Marketing Director).
