I met with Mike Wagner. He was very direct as to how the season went  He just said "really good". His sales matched up to last year week to week until the wind down came to soon. He did feel that a lot of customers seen the dark color and were not sure they were over ripe. He thought he would start seeing a lot of shrink, but the product had legs. He did not use any Calif. cherries and started with N/W Cherries late in the second week of June just as the weather started to get to get summer like and there was a demand. Hes thinking of doing it again next year.  They did adv. Rainiers, but felt they ended early. He was using mostly Calif. peaches as they were involved in a promotion.
