I was greeted by Ron Ybarra and we had a short discussion about cherries. 

I met with Doug Weikert. Doug and I had a great discussion on this years cherry crop. Needless to say, he was really disappointed with the Calif. Deal.  He said he had really jumped right in to the N/W Chop and started to promote with aggressive pricing and large displays. The cool wet spring had cost them a lot of sales and they were eager to gain them back. With pricing a bit lower this year, they expect a lot of tonnage but it will produce lesser sale dollars as the  retails will be lower. 

I presented the stone fruit program, but he said the Colo. deal really is important to them and it falls in right when our get going. He will look at it later in the season.
