Met with Matt Carroll, the Assistant Buyer. We have a small incentive available for BJ's but have so far struggled to find something they feel they could do. This year, we talked again about entrance displays and Matt said that the issue with them is that they have difficulty maintaining them with the personnel they have. They have not completely dismissed these displays but we are also looking at displaying in the refrigerated free standing units that they have in the produce section. That would give us better exposure than in the wall units. We also talked about promoting cherries in an email broadcast that they do a couple of times a week to their members. Matt was going to look into all the options and let me know if there is something they think they can do. Beyond that, Matt said they did have a good cherry year last year, but understands that there are still some merchandising ideas that they could use to help move more product.
