This has been a great season for the Northwest Cherries in Canada, promotions are running across Canada every week and retail promotions when on sale are holding at 1.99lb CAD. There is not retailer who has dropped below this price point which is the first time they are all holding. Regular pricing in the east is at 2.99lb CAD and in the west it is as high as 3.99lb CAD.

Well this was a great week in Canada for ads breaking the long weekend July 4th (US) as Canadian retailers from across the country were running ads at 1.99 lb CAD. All major retailers ran ads which would hit at least 5 million viewers in the same week.

Well it is that time of the year when retailers have planned and are starting to build those displays of Northwest Cherries. All retailers in Canada now carry NWC as California cleaned up late last week. The first of the season pricing has an average of $4.99 lb CAD. The fruit that I have seen and bought both tastes and looks very good. The sizing from I have seen is all 10 1/2 row and again the fruit is very firm.
