This store had the biggest display of NW Cherries of all the stores I have visited. Product was excellent with great size and color. This particular store had 4 SKU of NW Cherries. Away from the main display of dark sweet that was located in the front of the department, this store also had Rainier cherries, Skylar Cherries, and organic cherries. The dark sweet were priced at $4.99 and the Rainier were priced at $7.99 lb. They also had the best grapes from California that I have seen all season. Both the red and green seedless were priced at $1.99 lb and were big, clean, and fresh. Eastern peaches were priced at $1.99 lb but store also had California peaches priced at $2.49 Lb. They were all displayed on the 2nd table along with California plums, nectarines, and apricots. The California strawberries and NC blueberries along with Raspberries and blackberries were displayed on a separate smaller table near the front of the department. The store also had a big table of watermelons near the back of the department that they were pushing. Retail was $6.99 for a 20 lb melon. In their Summer magazine displayed at the entrance of the store contained a piece on Northwest Cherries. This is on display all summer and in it it showed that The Fresh Market had been voted as the #1 Supermarket in the United states in the USA Today by the people who participated in the Readers Choice awards. It does provide a very inviting shopping experience for the consumer.
