This store had 2 very nice displays of NW cherries.  There were 2 lots, one was a lot smaller than the other one and came from different companies.  But both lots was fresh and displays were full.  There was one display just as you enter the department and another in its regular space in the middle of the department.  Color was good and consistent.  They were on the front page of the Food Lion ad.  There were no Rainier cherries in this store.   Watermelons were also on the front  page of the ad as well at $2.49 each for a medium size melon.  There were 3 bins of these in the store.  South Carolina peaches were also in the ad with a big portion of the back page dedicated to them.  Color, shape, size was excellent to good.  Big display near front of the department and an end cap as well.  The stores are also stocking California peaches as well.  But they were priced at $2.29 per lb vs 89 cents per lb for the SC peaches and were not worth the difference.  Nectarines and plums were also priced at $2.29 per lb and were of medium to small size.  They were all displayed on the front table along with California apricots which was medium size as well.  California strawberries were in the ad 2/$4.00 and NC blueberries as well--priced at 2 pints for $5.00.  These 2 items along with California raspberries were displayed in the middle of the department.  White seedless grapes from Mexico were in the middle of the department.  The size on these grapes were small as most of the stores I visited this week had small grapes.
