Publix had a full, fresh department when I visited it.  California cherries were in the ad and displayed in 2 different locations in the department.  Quality was outstanding, size was large, and flavor wonderful.  The dark red color almost looked like that of the Northwest.  Also in the ad were peaches from California as well as nectarines.  Size was medium, but quality was wonderful as well as color.  Store also had eastern peaches.  They were in 2 lb bags to differentiate to the cashiers the different prices and item codes.  The SC peaches were in a 2 lb bag, size was medium and the 2 lb bag was priced at $2.99 per bag, making them about 1/2 the price of the California peaches.  Grapes were from Chili, quality was good and size medium.  Both red seedless and white seedless were priced the same.  Strawberries were in 2 locations but mail display was in the middle where Blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries were displayed as well.  Strawberries and Blueberries were in 1 lb clams, and the raspberries and blackberries were in 6 ounce clams.  All were price at 3 containers for $10.
