Comments

Food Lion had both dark sweet and Rainier cherries in the ad.    The NW Rainier cherries were price at $3.99 Lb.  Store had in 2 locations in the department, one right up front and another on an end cap.  Quality on both simply outstanding.  This store had Eastern peaches on display as well.  These were not as sharp as the SC peaches I had seen in other  stores.  The size was considerably smaller than the competition.  They also had California peaches as well but priced at $2.29 per lb vs 99 cents per lb.  They were displayed with other California stone fruit like nectarines, plums, and apricots on the front table.  Strawberries were on display on a small refrigerated table in middle of department.  These berries were tired and had seen better days.  They were displayed with blueberries (on sale in ad) and raspberries.  The grapes were from Mexico, size was medium, color good.  All varieties were priced at $2.99 lb.
