Northwest Cherries were on front page ad.  Quality outstanding with firm cherries with green stems.  They were displayed in twos sections in the store.  Right out front where the customer enters the department and with the other items such as grapes and Rainier cherries and blue berries.  Rainier cherries were priced at $6.99 lb.  Quality on the Rainiers was just not there, nor in any other retailers visited.  Time for all retailers to get out.  All stores are now into California grapes including Harris Teeter.  Size is still not where it needs to be, but quality is there.   Harris Teeter is pushing melons this week, both watermelons at $2.99 and cantaloupes at 2 / $5.00.  Blueberries, raspberries, and Strawberries were displayed together on back side of 2nd table.  South Carolina peaches were the biggest I have ever seen.  They were around a 48-56 count size.  Color was also outstanding.  They also had California peaches at $2.99 lb which was $1.00 more lb and they were not worth the difference.  Nectarines were priced the same as California  peaches.  Plums were at $2.49 lb for both red and black with great color and size.  Raspberries and blueberries were price at 2/$5.00 with Strawberries priced $1.00 more at 2/$6.00.  Apricots looked tired and distressed, not selling
